The massive influence that architect Frank Lloyd Wright has had on the world is undeniable. To commemorate his contributions to architecture and design, Marc Hagan-Guirey has released a book called Frank Lloyd Wright Paper Models with 14 structures that you can recreate by cutting and folding paper.
Marc Hagan-Guirey excels in the Japanese art of kirigami and produces his gentle and ghostly forms. Kirigami is a variation of origami, it includes cutting and folding elements in its forms. The combination of approaches allows for complex and accurate paper structures.
In the book, there are detailed photographic instructions on how to create these buildings. In addition, the book includes models described that tell you where to fold and cut. Some of the more complex parts are already cut out to help us. To play the budding architect, you need an X-Acto knife, a cutting mat and a little patience. Once you're done, famous structures like the Fallingwater or the Guggenheim Museum are revealed and ready to be displayed in your interior!
