Yes, we have such a tradition - the newlyweds stand with their feet on the towel during the wedding ceremony. Who of the newlyweds will be the first to go to the towel and that will be the main thing in the family (this is certainly a joke, but there is some truth).
Oh wow! Why do they stand on the towel during the ceremony? What do they do with it afterward? Does it become a keepsake for them?
Such a tradition in Ukraine, especially at the feet of embroidering a towel and after the wedding retain their whole life, then there will be happiness in the family.
