Good morning, today I come to tell you about a Venezuelan artist with a very particular style, who tries to express her feeling of nonconformity in a sense of protest by painting our country's bills that have been devalued by hyperinflation.
This artist that I am mentioning today is known as "the girl who paints the bills", her real name is Karina Freites and her stage name is Rubby Cobain, and her art calls her “Republica Revaluada de Venezuela” and like many Venezuelans he had to emigrate from Venezuela in search of a better quality of life, in this case he decided to leave Argentina, but he never left his art aside, which is what makes it special, since his paintings in oil they are reflected in banknotes whether they are devalued or are in force but with an insignificant value.
I'm going to post several photos of his works that can be found on his twitter and on his instagram @rubbycobain.
