I thought that until the main projects I'm working on are not yet done I should share some of the older works I still find cool enough to watch.
One of them is called 'Promise' and it's a deeply personal piece I made 5 years ago with the use of aquarels, crayons, and ink pens on textured paper.
It took me a while to understand the meaning of this artwork... It's one of those images that came to my mind and shouted to be freed.
It's about the inner child and crying out loud to be listened to. It's about hurt and innocence, broken promises and trust.
The kid is visibly bruised but still gazes with eyes full of hope. A silent question is carved on his face and it's holding a dead rotting rabbit in an offering gesture. What was once a soft and warm creature is decaying heavily, being eaten by maggots... yet he still finds value in its corpse, refusing to let go.
Two years ago, I made an artwork (which I shared here before) that is similar but quite different:
I think those two should be placed next to each other
Beautiful Art @leiaothake 🙌⭐️
Thank you a lot! :)
