This is my entry for
Digital Artist Showcase by @gmuxx (theme childhood).
My entry is a "Ghost of a Loved one" from one of my favorite books and movies from childhood. I decided to enter because I got suddenly inspired and hit by nostalgia :)

What I like about your pixel art - you use a very small canvas. I tend to use too big of a canvas, too many finer details :-/
Usually I automatically start with 150x150 pixels. I put down the base color or background and a spot or a shape. Then I scale down the canvas (with nearest neighbor) until I'm happy with the size, which depends on the amount of time I have available for the art. ^^
Sometimes when I'm done I adjust the canvas again to be less square-like.
8 bit art reminds me of my childhood playing Gameboy for hours. makes me happy every time I see it. so thanks cool post :)
Double nostalgia :D
And thank you! ^^
your expression on translucency is awesome. And the original size.. it's quite cute :D
Thank you! :D
I duplicated "trees layer" over the deer and lowered the opacity, to make it look translucent. ^^
