Hi I'm Keir and I have a passion for designing projects that make the world better, I hope so at least. So here I'm going to submit some ideas from my journals and see what you guys think. Upvote if you think the idea has legs or ignore it if you think it's bullshit. Fuck it, even comment and tell me why I'm an idiot if you have a good reason. We all grow based on failure. Anyway I'm excited here we go.
Idea one: graffiti wall
I believe that hip hop represents the most creative art movement possibly ever, and that it's still labeled as a crime. Graffiti on buildings can be some of the greatest art peices around and serve to brighten up and make interesting, boring old buildings. Large murals set a tone for a city and neighborhood, that communicate across cultures and languages. They set a vibe for a place that instantly makes people feel more at ease and the place cooler. All that combined and that's good for business, that's good for community. So why do we criminalize graffiti? Why do we put kids in jail because they want to create art and make things beautiful? Racism mostly. The world's a fucked up place and I think we're just starting to realize it. So let's change it.
Let's make large walls available in cities across the world. Let's invite young artists to paint and learn. Let's get older established artists to go there and teach, as well as make beautiful murals. Let's put these walls in central locations in the city so that everyone can see them growing and developing organically. Let's become proud of our collective art as individual peices merge and become a whole, growing and evolving. Imagine the excitement as people watch and see new peices that arise overnight that change the whole. Imagine the civic pride as people take people to see the evolving gallery and the sweet Instagram posts people will make. But most of all imagine what it could do for young artists searching for a way of expressing themselves, wanting to hone their craft and grow. We could produce the next Picasso, Dali or even DeVinci. Fuck knows maybe even Bansky will come paint.

Most graffers spray graffiti because it's illegal! Maybe you might take the magic away but still.. There are many legal walls in many cities and they always have great works onto them!
