I miss drawing every day! A big reason I became self-employed was so I could travel, And draw every day, Sadly it hasn't quite worked out that way. Things always manage to creep up and rob me of that time.
Now that I have this awesome desk, It's easy to set up half of it for drawing. I'm hoping that every day I can do a bit of drawing, Even just a little bit.
Especially with my fractured leg still healing, It's mostly healed, and I can walk, But I still can't fully handle the impact of running, I find that getting a "mental cleanse" Everyday from either drawing or running is very helpful.

One Problem

I find it difficult to post an unfinished drawing on here; I don't know why. It just feels wrong.
Like it needs to be fully done before I post it. And unfortunately, I don't always have time to do a drawing from start to finish. I might do a daily or every couple days, Of my drawing progress on something .
This is something I started last night...

My goal

Is to improve on my gradients to create a hyper-realistic look. So this is the focus of my portrait drawing today.

CUTE Pencil holders

I found these metal pencil holders on Amazon! It came in a pack of two. I love them. I'm using one for pens, And writing tools. And the other for pencil stuff. Having them sorted will save me time from digging for stuff.

u dont need to run you can let your brain do some mental running and relaxing over the paper :) very nice work

You have an amazing talent. Don’t waste it!
You should always find time for things you have been gifted with.
Beautiful paint! I can see the character in her eyes, its very difficult to do, even if you are a pro.

Thank you :) you are so right! I need to make this work.

@kaylinart I love in your Drawings how you bring out the human eye. It is really awesome with the Detail that you do.

Thank you :)

Thank You Young Lady for all you do here on Steemit and for your Friendship and Talent......

I know exactly how you feel when you said that you wanted to become self employed so you can have more free time to draw and do other things.
Things never really turn out as planned, as long as you make the most of it is all that matters.
Just do your best - thats more than enough!

Exactly! We have to do what we can, And of course prioritizing helps hehe.

For sure!!

First of all, I have broken my leg in the past, my pearl bone is a picology of how well I know.your ability to draw is perfect Why can not you find time?@kaylinart

The best part is how those eyes looks so perfect! I bet the most difficult part when drawing is making the eyes looks good.

Obviously you have already mastered that skill!

Thank you :) Heheh eyes are my favorite so I've had lots of practice.Hehe.

oww i did not know that. I was very sorry. Get well soon. Your accomplishments are running in a very good way. And you will run out. You must motivate yourself. Which you are already doing. @kaylinart
I Reestemed to you :)

How I wish I can draw something close to this, but I'm not gifted when it comes to this (although I remember winning a few art contest back during my elementary and high school days).

And I like how you enjoy organizing things because I do that too. Thankfully, I received an adorable cloth-based bag last Christmas which I used to contain all my materials.

Keep drawing, @kaylinart!

best of luck for your art and drawing skills
god bless you
very cute and accurate drawing

Thank you

First, your portrait is very pretty, I love it! Second, I understand what you say. I recently starting here and I'm thinking in posting my drawings, but somehow this makes me second-guess myself. Also, I have never been one to draw every single day because it usually takes me a good couple of hours to get them done. I feel like my drawing has to be very elaborate to get good views and this is stressing me a bit hahah

Maybe I just need to let things flow. Do you have any advice?

When I look in the eyes of this picture , I see a lot of emotions . It’s like we try to be strong and hold our emotions in against the world .

Nothing ever goes the way we want , we should live life one day at a time and make the best of the little things

Not everyone has art, Art is not what you see, but what makes others charmed to see it @kaylinart

Thank you :) It's true.

You are welcome

Very beautiful! As much as I have always loved art, I could never seem to be able to draw or paint or anything like that.

It's cool to see process pics too, because it shows the evolution of your drawing and how the piece changed from start to finish!

That's one of difficult part of drawing. Nice vision, nice eye and nice scenery.
Finally you draw amazing art work. Thanks god for motivated you every time @kaylinart.

@kaylinart if you like drawing so much you should try to make it a profession.you are already very talented,I do not think you will have difficulty finding a job.

Thanks so much <3 I actually do somewhat have a profession in it. I'm just managing most things right now.

Artistically done my friend beautiful thanks for sharing your talent

Thank you

I know exactly how you feel when you said that you wanted to become self employed so you can have more free time to draw and do other things.

Wow!! You have a great hand @kaylinart, amazing!

First of all I am very sorry for you. I did not know you broke your leg. I think it happened before I joined steem. As an artist you are doing great things. Your drawing is really beautiful. you do not have to finish one piece at a time. did all the famous artistic works in one day? Leonardo Da Vinci Did Monalisa make it on a day? Michelengelo made the statue of David a day?
No. you are working diligently to make the works great. That is an appreciable behavior. @kaylinart

wow!!!beautiful work of art..

I used to read a bit most days. That went away many years ago when I had to not only work full-time, but work overtime.

Getting into Steemit hasn’t helped much either! 😆😂🤣

Gosh is there ever enough time to create at the level we desire? I've not found it yet. I truly love the creation process and have tried to embrace it more, but my "dailys" often steal my time away. I struggle to organize it all and find the life, focus, balance to get it in harmony. And then once I think I've got it....gravity kicks in and its gone haha. Beautiful drawings!

You have a real talent kaylin. Very creative. She looks perfect. And crafty too. 😄

Nice drawing, I pray that you recover fast from the injuries, I like the pencil holder.

Running was always my treatment for balancing my life. I got sick and can't do much of anything anymore, let alone running. Being sick for so long, with no real change in sight has been hard, for everyone in my family.
I used to use the tag, bicscrawl, just a silly word I used in the past to describe my scribble drawings. As I got worse I gave up drawing and posting anything positive. I decided to scrawl anything again for 30 days, and no matter what I came up with I just post it. It is not incredibly comfortable at first, but I have to stop trying to do things the way I used to.
I learned I didn't need to run to be okay.
Don't rush back. It's okay to stop and just be. I ran on injuries and now I do next to nothing.

This is an awesome art photography. Its really amazing photo and also creative art. I really impressed your drawing.

I love your art work as always, keep it up hun.

Get well soonest and continue doing your art coz we know you really love to draw.

I was beginning to think that "art" suffix at the end of your name is just for fancy😂, so glad to see your works and sorry for the fracture on your leg, hope it heals fast

The wonderful truths of the art
How did you learn that?

This is a really good start! I'm a musician myself and I know how you feel about finishing up projects because things always just come up Outta nowhere and it just doesn't seem to add up. But then I've noticed that if I just do a bit everyday, then I feel better with my art. I hope this works out for you!

amazing art but only few people can do this i mean there no one who can do this in my friends its amazing

I alos love to draw human faces, I am a teacher so I love to paint feelings expressions, your work motivate me

very beautiful painting. I really like your painting

very beautiful painting. I really like your painting

Hi! @kaylinart, Don't like me? Cool, I don't wake up every day to impress you.

your drawing really amazing...
i love web design and drawing...
keep it up...
great share

Great talent but i understand what you mean about finishing things of. You have that perfectionist mind. We have already crossed paths before as I saw your affiliate post when I was looking it up so hope we get to chat. I have that problem trying to get something perfect before it's presented. Been your own worst critic does have it's drawback. Sometimes it just stops you from actually completing something so I think you should go with the flow let go and as you said show your pieces in stages. I am so out of touch with drawing so be cool if maybe you could see the different over lays and shading building up. Hope that leg gets better soon and I am sure you have plenty of traveling days ahead of you. :)

I have the same feeling with the two drawings I did, I did want to post until it was finished which are just lead drawings, but I needed time to sit down and complete them while in the zone and frame of mind to smash it out.

Shading will be something I want to learn soon, add extra detail and depth to them but not sure the best way to go about them yet.

Can't wait to see more drawings again, like that devil unicorn I mentioned @kaylinart hehe ;)

Good for you for putting yourself out there. I too struggle with drawing daily. It's a goal of mine because I want my kids to see me doing something I enjoy so they can learn to keep doing what makes them happy. It's not selfish, it's self-care. I've been working on colored pencil portraits and just finished a really cool eye tutorial. I'll share it with you when I figure out how to put photos in comments. (Can you do that?) Lots to learn here!

Hey! I figured it out! Anyway, it was a tutorial, but I'm looking forward to doing some of my own work now and put my newly learned skills to use!
