Kowloon Walled City was a very unique city that was not governed by Hong Kong at all. The city was made up of squashed together unregulated buildings. The Walled City became a sanctuary for crime and drugs. I just wanted to share some photos of this unique city and community. The city was demolished in 23 March 1993 and the residents were relocated.
Recently the Kowloon Walled City was turned into an Amusement park in Japan called Kawasaki Warehouse. Tourist and others are able to walk through and experience what Kowloon Walled city was like back in the day.
