Seashore Painting on Acrylics | Easy Painting for Beginners

in #art7 years ago (edited)

Good day to all steemians! I'm going to show you my seashore painting in acrylic for beginners like me.

Acrylic paintings should be done on canvas but I just did my painting on a thick sketch pad.

The colors I used in the painting are the following: Primary Cyan, Cadmium Green Hue, Yellow Ochre and Titanium white

I started to paint the sands and I used the yellow ochre. It has a darker shade and I mixed it with white paint to make it lighter and sand like color.

I painted the sea my mixing the blue paint together with the white paint (the white paint must be added in huge amounts to make it a light blue result) then lastly, I mixed it with green to make a sea green color result.

To paint the waves, I used the remaining mix sea green color and added another white paint to make it lighter. In painting the waves, the brush should always be pointed. Dabbing the brush makes the lighter ones blend into the first dark layer.

Keep pointing on the light shade to the lighter ones to achieve a realistic effect on waves. Then lastly, dab on a white paint on the edge of the waves and overlap it until it reaches through the yellow part where the sand is painted.

For the finishing touches, add a white streak on the sea to make it more realistic.

and there you have it! a seashore painting in acrylics! hope you liked it and I hope you will try this easy painting I did.
