Hello there people! As the title says I want to talk about one of my favorite characters in Boku no Hero Academia and the reasons why I think he is awesome, and besides from that to show you a quick illustration I made about him.
Iida is one of the main characters and in some way he is very similar to the protagonist, Midoriya Izuku due to both admiring heroes that are inspirational and huge motivations for both of them, Tenya admires his brother Ingenium (Tensei Iida) who is his life model and All Might (Toshinori Yagi) who is the #1 hero of the world, he studies and works for being like both of them, and I believe he will.
One of the main and most important things that a hero needs is dedication and a genuine desire to be a hero, to help others and truly care for the people you are going to protect. This is something that Iida Tenya has.
His personality:
At first Tenya seems to be a strict young man with little tact in the way he speaks, and that is kind of true, but he is way more than that, disciplined, concerned for others, humble, honest and with a strong sense of duty and justice, although he is seen taking a more vindictive approach to certain villain and this throws a light over who he is, only human after all, with flaws and things to learn and that is exactly what he does through his experiences.
His power or quirk:
He possesses a physical alteration in his calf muscles that made them some sort of engine, there’s where its name comes from “Engine”, this quirk allows Tenya to run incredibly fast and cover long distances in short amount of time, he can also kick with a powerful force and it really depends on how he uses it, the adaptability of this quirk is great, it is revealed that the engine in his legs is refueled with citric beverages and carbonated beverages make it malfunction.
