Hi @jugwatercolor! I'm using the same palette. There is same extremes of light and dark in both, all the mass of the male figure is larger than the female, perhaps lending the impression it is lighter. I have also processed this image lighter than the other as I have real battle capturing the true colours and impression of my artworks. There is always something missing in the photographs when compared to the originals.
yes, that's why I asked, photography can trick sometimes. Nevertheless like this one two, but girl is still my favorite by now :)
Its a hard choice for me to say which one I like the most. =)
