My work takes many weeks, if not month to create, so it would be absolutely impossible to create something completely new for your contests.
The other thing I see you doing is all the work for the minnow support. I've been trying to get a grip on it since I'm here. Thing is, I'm a generation for whom this computer stuff isn't all that easy and I don't even know where to begin. Even looked at the website, but I only find bots... some people around here say to stay away from bots...
Sorry for such stupid questions, I'm not even asking for a helping hand, as I'm sure you are incredibly busy, but if you could point me in the right direction, I'd be very thankful.
I understand, as long as it's new on steemit it's fine by me I just don't want people submitting art they posted here months ago so if you add the tag to something you posted yesterday it's completely okay!
If you click the discord invite and join we can help you out with the rest, we have little bots there that will give you a small boost on your posts and one you may be interested in called creative bot. You delegate some of your own power and in return you help all the other creatives who also delegate and get a vote from it on your own work! The main draw though is that it's a great place to network with other steemit users in a relaxed environment, I have made many great friends there :)
We have helped many non techy people join so you'll be fine!
Thank you very much for the link to your article. I think it is one of those I read before and even got a discord account, following the P.A.L.... see, for you all these things are second nature. You'd probably would laugh your head off, if you saw me struggling with every detail... Even this whole discord thing!?! The info says, its for gamers, which I'm not, but I see a lot of the... I guess more important conversations taking place there and I wonder, why its not on steemit.chat. Oh well, I'm sure there must be a reason and when I'm finished painting for the day, I'll give it another shot and get out of my comfort zone...
Again, thank you very much for your kind support! :-)
Discord is originally made for gamers but anyone can make a server or a community there. I was very confused myself when I first joined but there are lots of people there willing to help! If you join come in the general room and if I am not there say I sent you, you will get lots of helpers I promise!
You are very welcome. Thanks for creating the contest :-)
Just as a question... you say one has two submissions. If I had added the artexplosion tag to my yesterdays post (https://steemit.com/art/@reinhard-schmid/making-of-grande-venusmachine-tribute-to-an-old-master), would that have counted too?

Thank you so much for your kind and detailed answer. So, with your consent, I added the artexplosion tag to my https://steemit.com/art/@reinhard-schmid/making-of-grande-venusmachine-tribute-to-an-old-master and hope its not to late for this second submission :-)
