I can’t wait until Game of Thrones comes back. Seriously one of the greatest shows to ever hit the small screen. And I’m calling it now: once the dust (or snow) settles and the show is over, I believe my boy T here will be sitting on the Iron Throne. I hope Biggie Smalls doesn’t mind me borrowing his crown to illustrate the point 😉

I started by laying in some basic “pencils”

Refined a little

A little more refining and moving things around

Sharpening some details

A little shading to make sure if the light’s right

I chose a toned paper background. This serves as the base for Tyrion’s skin tone.

Start to lay in some “paint”, darks and shadows first.

More paint

Refine some details and begin work on the crown.

I’m still learning experimenting with different ways to paint metallic surfaces. Gold in particular is kinda tricky for me.

So I just figure I’ll paint in layers and merge down until it looks close to what I’m going for.
