The one on the other side

In life they are some people you just fall in love with even though you may never see them in person, maybe it’s just infatuation, maybe it’s the value their absence brings or maybe it’s the thrill we get from the mysterious voice at the other end of the phone call. I guess there’s just something about a mystery that gets us, something about a mystery that feeds our curiosity, a natural instinct present since the beginning. We always love to see where the rabbit hole leads.

The picture art for me is the girl on the other side, that mystery woman. I do believe lots of people have at least one them. Like angels, we may never see them, invisible to the naked eye but we feel them close. They make us laugh through their texts, send us videos that make our day and those soothing calls that take all day(there's just something about it). The affection that grows for a complete stranger whose only version we get to see are the digital files we receive until the day we get to meet where fantasies are watered down with realities, Their hidden flaws become revealed and the friendship is tested with the question of to be or not to be? while for some the meeting point might be the end of the road for others what started becomes even more stronger. They meeting can play a vital role in deciding how far it goes.

In the end, it doesn’t always end well. For some, they become the one they walk the aisle with, for other’s another nightmare, for some it’s a great friendship worthwhile, for others a disaster that shouldn’t have happened. Truth is we have to learn to value what’s right before us because what we seek out there most times is right there next to us patiently waiting and hoping that you open your eyes and see but we get too busy looking afar pushing them to the sidelines. Well, maybe its the mystery that gets us, the quest to find out who really is the girl on the other side.

Thank you for sharing your artwork, I love it. I really appreciate that took the time to give us the backstory.

Am glad you like it, thanks a lot ...

Yes, mystery can be very attractive and compelling. And sometimes it's best to let the mystery stay a question instead of uncovering what's underneath.

Yes sometimes unravelling a mystery can be our demise. somethings are better left unknown.
