At the risk of sounding a little cliche, this year so far has been quite transformative for me. Little by little I have been shedding the layers of my programming at an exponentially faster rate than previously imagined. I have always considered my self a freedom-loving individual and always questioned the powers-that-be who seemed to disregard our inherent sovereignty. Around 6 years ago before I knew that I was in fact an Anarchist, a shift within occurred and I knew that I had to take my destiny into own hands. So I broke from the long chain of shitty jobs that I worked at and took a leap into my artistic endeavors so that I can finally work on my own terms!

In short, its been the Most empowering, difficult and dying decision I've ever made and it is a great joy and privilege to share the stories of my journey with you all!

JANGALA CROWN #273 Third Eye Rainbow (May 2015)

For thousands of years, cultures worldwide have revered the concept of the third eye, which is a speculative invisible eye that may be utilized for perception beyond ordinary experience. In modern science, it has been postulated that the third eye is related to the pineal gland and its production of N,N-Dimethyltriptamine (a powerful, naturally-occurring hallucinogen.)  I don't personally know too much about it and won't pretend to but to sum up the point I'm making, the knowledge of this subject seems to have been hidden or covered up and now people are finally becoming aware of its importance and how to use it. Thank you internet!

What I love about my job is each learning of each client's vast areas of interest. Each concept a client places on my table forces me to really think and do some heavy research. Every new projects preliminary research seems to be to reveal a new rabbit hole in which I much enter to fully comprehend the importance of the concept itself as well as its significance to the that respective client. This ritual brainstorming and self-education process is the preparatory work that will facilitate the space I must enter to begin creating. 

This particular design was to be a third eye and the centerpiece's placement would strategically straddle the wearers actually pineal gland!

Each layer applied would reveal a color gradient that would display warmer colors in the arrangement of yellows, all the way to purples (See below.)

Layer after layer and the design progressively fills out!

The pattern is continued onto the brim with some contrast by adding the whole color spectrum! The design is finally complete!

After charging up the design with the fluorescent lighting then immediately shutting all lights off, the hat will appear to Glow in the dark (phosphorescent.)
