RE: So many ideas... so little space to bring them into reality

in #art3 days ago

Wow ! I can't imagine painting that huge size. Of course I've seen it online where others do it and have done it in the past, but there is no way I have space either for anything like that.

I rent my house, so I also have to be careful with splash and splatter. I have thought in the past, when I was doing all painting before collage that I would love to have a place where it wouldn't matter about splatters on walls and floors so I could show the energy I felt. I've tried to do it with the art inside a box and different things and I got some neat outcomes a few times, but still nothing like I would like to do. I know it is different for you and me, but I can't imagine I will ever have a space where I would have that freedom.

You have mentioned the spectrum before, so I understood as best I can in a general way. It's interesting when reading about the past and current artists, how many are/were on the spectrum in some way. Seems that sometimes totally enhances some people's artistic tendencies/abilities.

I didn't allow myself to spend lots of time painting and the such till later in my life. I don't spend lots of time regretting the past, but I do sometimes wish I would have not gone the traditional/expected ways when I was a young adult and would have just pursued art of some sort, any sort. By now, maybe I would have been very good at it. BUT.... we don't get that kind of do-over.... do we??

I do my posts on my computer. I don't mind short texts on my phone, but in general, I don't care for the two finger typing either... ugh... so I get you on that. I know a lot of folks on Hive do their posts from their phone and love it, but not me. I don't even have Hive accessible on my phone.

You say you are not good with words, but I have noticed you have added a few more words to your posts here and there than you used too, especially when talking about your art. I call that progress.
