Halfway through the work week... Yay! ... and NO overtime this week! YAY X 10 !!

Sharing a little more of my funky journal practice art. Using up some of the scraps and trying new things.

Do you like my carrot person?? Funny name, right? I learned that from a man on youtube named Bob Burridge. I don't really follow him right now, but I used to watch some of his painting before I got into collage. Nothing at all wrong with his art and I think he is now including some collage in some of his art, but I don't think he used too. He showed if you wanted there to appear to be abstract figures in your work, you could make a general shape of a carrot and then give it a head. LOL.... and it pretty much works.

I swished a little paint on the page randomly, then wrote all over the top of the paint and then I added some random scraps of paper over top, along with a few music circles with curls cut out of them. I then added some of the curls in too and took a fine point sharpie pen and made some circles... and there came Carrot Man. Carrot Man got a curl too. I think he's pretty brave walking through that bunch of wild floating scraps into the back of the painting.

I did this one about a week ago. I meant to get out of my wild color comfort zone and I did, but I also didn't really like it. LOL !! I thought I wouldn't show it... but here it is anyway. It has some interesting elements and I liked the Mimosa tree seed pod on it. I can imagine it one day cracking and dropping the seeds out. Time will tell.

I'm posting later than normal. The Walgreens where I get my drugs didn't get one of my meds in on time and my body has been fussing about that off and on today. They finally got it in and called today, so after work, I got dressed, did a quick trip to the Goodwill store because I am addicted to going now and I just wanted to see if they had any good stuff mid-week. I found a couple of things that maybe I'll show later. I didn't drop off any donations today although I do have some more stuff ready to go. I'll wait and do that Saturday when I have more time. Then I picked up my meds and went through the BBQ place for some broasted chicken, came home, got stuff out of the mailbox across the street, fed myself and here I am !
