Atomic Blob!

Working on a new woodblock so I thought I'd show an old one. This was created by carving into a piece of wood to create basically a stamp. While the ink was still wet I smudged it with my finger to create the gradient tones in the center forms. It reminds me of a rorschach test, let me know what you see.

Nice! I see an old man who experienced many lives by sheer luck. And I say luck because he has a fragile and coward-like mentality, but somehow he was able to survive. An exception to the survival of the fittest.

How long did it take to carve the wood block?

I love the way you worded that, it really resonates with me. This print is one of the smaller prints I've done, 8 x 10. I'd say it probably took about 6 hrs to get it ready to ink up.

I love the unique qualities of block prints. I see something between a muppet and mushroom cloud and it's awesome.

Thanks for the support, more stuff to come.

Beautiful! I'll repost.

I saw two people sitting across from each other leaning in close. What does that say about me?
