Art Wolfe is a master of photography. All the images you chose are amazing, but I think this one is the best because it’s very technical and difficult to do. The light is extremly well balanced and the lanterns are the focal point to make it magical. It should have been really tricky to expose, the background is dark and could come out black without the perfect settings. Look at how clear are the pebbles in the water and so vibrant in color. The birds cover the fire avoiding over exposure on the face of the main character. The saturation gives to the image a warm look, a feeling of intimacy. This is really a masterpiece!
