Hear me out, art and music making is hard.

When I ease back and make something less important to me, people like it. I have had a strange experience in art making, art that I think is great, is often horrible to someone else.

The structure of our society around us keeps us safe.

But it also restricts us.

The structure of a religion is to keep us safe/good, also restrictive.

Who decides what is safe or good?

Anyone given that privilege for long enough, becomes lost in their own thoughts.

Like when you make an artwork or song, and you think that the artwork is amazing!

But others don't understand it, or it doesn't mean as much to them. This is because there are pieces of the artwork missing from sight, within ourselves.

Take this for an example:

The subject is natural; it has been present around us for a very long time, so it has imprinted a set of internal reactions into your mind. (trees provide shade and usually occur around food and water in nature)

You can see then, that the image can then provoke emotions of happiness and relief.

The reason it provokes these feelings, is because you have a predetermined reaction to it. So when we like anything, it is because of factors in the mechanics of our bodies, or groups of bodies, including larger bodies like companies.

So, if society is like a big organism, because that is essentially what it is, then it likes things like your body likes things, through internal reactions or internal memory. The organism remembers that something happened and then reacts in ways based on past experiences.

Now, society does not like what you like most of the time. This is because, either you do not understand something and are acting irrationally, or society is acting irrationally and does not know that what you know is more sensible.

Let's say you have worked out, that your ideas "are" in fact rational, be careful because it is very difficult to define rationality. When you try to decide whether your idea is rational, think about how large an effect it would have, the greater the effect: the more time you need to think.

Your idea is rational, you need to either shock the society into remembering details, or you need to put the details with something they already have a memory of: learning by association.

You will probably have to use learning by association, because of the sheer effort it takes to teach everyone. Use the common forms of media to convey your ideas. (Media everyone uses)

There is a huge problem here! Mainstream media sources have been hardwired-filtered. What do you do?
You can find your way around through steemit, and other sites on the internet, share with everyone possible.

You really should also try to spread knowledge of your art in person.
Try to spread your art as a character, make yourself more real to the public.

Now, how do you get people to like your work?
Make work that people can relate to on a psychological level. Hide information behind stories of life, opinion, etc.

Do not change your goal for the observer, or the listener. The key is to make them sympathetic to what you sneak in, or make them angry at what you sneak in. (because you want them to dislike something) Art works in different ways, use all the methods you have.

So, what is the answer to the question?

Art and music is so difficult to make, because you have to read the world and appeal to it, whilst getting a message across.

Never hound your message at the world, it only makes society less trusting of your plight.
