Hello Dear Friends ! Today I would like to present you John Sell Cotman ( 1782 – 1842 ) , English watercolorist, one of the leading figures of the Norwich School. Marine and landscape painter, etcher and illustrator – he worked with geometric clarity using flat planes of coloured wash. In his later years he mixed paste with his watercolor to achieve a rich impasto. Cotman exhibited at the Royal Academy, showing scenes of the Welsh countryside.
