Hello hello! It’s-a-me, Fidi :D I’m here today to show you all a new artwork I did!!
This piece is of an artistic girl going out and about, with her bag in hand, (and her cute lil’ cat keychain of course) walking around and just being in a world of her own~ 🌷
Art Process ✨
First, I roughly sketch out the pose, clothes, and colors of the character. I wanted her to be looking away, maybe admiring the scenery while she was walking.
This part of my process is very messy, as I experiment with all kinds of poses and colors. But this is so that I can get a general idea of what I want my piece to look like, so it’s okay to be messy :)
Then after I’m satisfied with my rough sketch, I start doing the lineart! I go back and forth with adjusting my lineart.
I use my rough sketch as a guide, making changes and adding details along the way so that everything looks nice and clean :)
It took a lot of attempts to get the hands to look right as I’m not skilled in drawing those yet :’) But in the end, I still pushed through! 💪
Now here comes my favorite part, coloring!
For this section, I look at my sketch as reference for what color scheme I’m going for. Then I just vibe and color away!
I love listening to music while I draw, and it usually affects my artwork in some way. For this I listened to a lot of cute and upbeat music, so the colors ended up looking cute too! :)
And finally, finishing touches! So you can see that I add some doodles here and there, and I also feature her cute keychain and sling bag.
I chose a simple lilac background, then I use a more saturated purple color to make it all pop!
