Hey everyone, first of all I would like to welcome you all to my new post and hope you have a great start into the new weekend! In this article I would like to go into more detail about art and hope you are interested in the topic and can learn new things.
You can see here works that have been created by the German artist Casper David Friedrich (1774 - 1840) and he has made a name for himself as an artist with his living landscape paintings in which he has always expressed nature very vividly and is considered one of the most important representatives of German art history. He can also be counted in the era of Romanticism and in order to be inspired for his works, he regularly went into nature and he can also be generally described as very loyal to nature and loved to look for quiet places and this comes into its own in his realistic works. It is not very easy to describe his style exactly because everyone sees something different but from his works it is clearly visible that these are full of mysticism and often express more than emerge from the first glance and one of his ideologies was also to express his own emotional world in the paintings. He was born in Greifswald and already had to deal with losses in his childhood which greatly influenced him and also had the consequence that he must cope with negative feelings for a long time and he was interested in art very early and in his youth, he decided to take lessons and learn more about drawing and later, Casper David Friedrich went to Copenhagen where he studied at the royal art academy and was strongly influenced by Danish painters. Later he went to the German city of Dresden, which at that time enjoyed a good reputation among artists and here he quickly got to know other artists and became artistically active himself and began to exhibit his works, but he had to struggle there with some personal problems which resulted in him falling into a serious illness, but he never stopped to be active as an artist. He received more and more commissions as an artist and fascinated numerous people with his works and got a lot of feedback even from younger artists who were very enthusiastic about his works and in the course of time, he could live better and better from his works and became more and more famous and later he was even appointed professor for a time and was a member of artistic associations.
