The term Nimbus already goes back to ancient cultures and was also considered an kind of aura or a symbol of supernatural protection and already in old artworks, one can see how people with this energy field were depicted which gives them a certain form of protection or authority. In mythology it were often sun gods who were depicted with a nimbus and this can differ depending on culture but most often it was associated with the divine and the nimbus has also developed into a symbol of the superior force and should also represent the superiority of beings and create an image of authority. In other people who stand around the nimbus, a feeling of suborder or respect is created and there are different types of origin and a good example for an artificially created nimbus can be certain social values such as positions that ensure that other people are subordinate to them and this can also refer to other artificially created values that can be found in the society. Also through actions that are carried out by people like heroic deeds, a nimbus can arise and this can also already be congenital or arise in the course of development and this can be linked by a positive radiance or self-confidence and here one distinguishes between a high or low nimbus. In psychology, one sees that people tend to evaluate people according to certain characteristics and assign them to a nimbus and it does not always have to be that people are in certain positions so that a sense of authority is created and in the field of marketing you can often see that by moving certain characteristics in the foreground, a high nimbus can be generated and in the media this can refer to a positive or negative reporting about a person which results in the creation of a nimbus. In the position of the public, a nimbus is also created by certain ideal figures which has a role, but this does not always have to be the case and this can also be done by a sympathetic appearance and as a result, people hide positive or negative properties or other things that affect discernment.
