In this video i will be drawing a red rose. Previously i did two blue roses with Prismacolor pencils, but this time it is one red rose. At first, roses may look more complex and complicated than any other flowers, but by being very careful on details and drawing it step by step its possible to draw beautiful roses you can be proud of! This is another way how i am drawing it, and i wish this video helps someone to learn how to do it:) If you have never tried to do it, i encourage you to do so, even with color pencils. You will feel much better when you try. Trust me I was there too. Most of our fears disappear when we do what we fear most.
I usually begin to draw from the center of the flower and slowly developing it outwards. It is only one of the possible ways to draw. The flip side of this approach is that it is a bit difficult to predict exactly the final size of the whole rose.
