Benefits Of Creating Art By EdgarsArt

in #art7 years ago (edited)

Exercising our creativity can give us a so much needed break from our daily routines. it is helping us express emotions, to give something to others, to give something away, needed or in some cases not needed. It can also boost our happiness levels.
I have never focused on creating art with a particular mood. I always made what i felt and what came out. In some cases something smiley comes out, in others it is different.

Since yesterday i am feeling like i have a bit of temperature too and overall i feel like crap. It is good i will have couple free days from tomorrow. Of course i have still a ton of things to do, and have to do the commissioned cat drawing too, but still i hope to rest a bit and spend time with my girlfriend. Otherwise, just like the crypto market now, i am going down hard. While trying to write this the headache started unreal, and more than 10 hours still to be at work.

Now one thing which already couple of days ago i had prepared to speak about was-What benefits does creating Happy/Sad art can give to you?

After thinking for a while I made some key answers:

  • Distracts from other worries – it is hard to focus on troubles once in the flow of a creating process. It has the power to engage you so fully, bringing you into the present moment.

  • Reduces stress – studies show that both creating and experiencing art can reduce cortisol, the 'stress hormone'*. Doing something you love also releases endorphins – feel-good chemicals that combat stress and reduce pain.

  • Builds self-esteem – I feel anything but confident as I start each drawing. If not, then a t least exited, ready to see how it will go. Creating provides a challenge and with each hour I draw, I am building skills. It is an activity with a tangible result and the more I dedicate myself, slowly but surely, the more I can see improvement and feel a sense of achievement.

  • Creates a healthy state of mind - In the parts of the brain responsible for introspection, self-monitoring and memory. Recently i have read studies which showed , involving participants aged between 62 and 70, also concluded that creating artwork can delay ageing.

Arts really reduces stress, normalize our blood pressure level. keep involving in any arts

+++yes, and you do not need chemicals for that

I thin its the reduce stress part that is most important.. There are a lot of distractions today that can pull you away from your goal, longterm.
Its just how you cope wit them..
stay strong my friend !

Yes. The mind has to be really strong tow withstand all of this

I think everyone has their way of draining stress, some do drawing others exercising, in if there are many ways to do it, the real question is: After doing that you feel good? That's the problem, if you don't change your mood, you're probably doing something wrong.

Oh yes,and I do know many people who just do not do anything and are mad, expecting something to change. Yet it is hard if you do stay where you are and do not have a thing like that to do

Even though I no longer draw, but drawing helped me a lot during my childhood and especially teenage years. It is an amazing hobby to get you distracted from other stuff and can be relatively cheap and accessible:)

+++ As a kid i did draw too, but not as much as i am now

I agree, indulging in creativity does release stress because we lose ourselves in our work. Great drawings of the cats. Well done.

Yes+++ and it is so powerful that takes us all in

Wow that's a great post sir and the cat looking very beautiful.thank you.

Glad you liked it:)

Thank you.

These kitties look so damn real!!

Oh this is really old work now i did, thanks:))

Yes, that's great, sometimes we have to hear our innerself and if our innerself is saying as to take rest then we should take because after rest we will once again rise with new enthusiasm, and you said right, when we are in suppressing thoughts, it's better to do those works in which you have true interest. And i was unaware of the study which says the creative work can delay the ageing, and this stuff is informative for me. Thanks for sharing this post with us and wishing you an great day. Stay blessed. 🙂

Thanks so much:) Yes it was really surprising fact for me too, never before i heard something like that

Welcome. 🙂

I quite often run away from unnecessary thoughts in the creativity. It saves us from unnecessary thoughts. Very cool)!

Sometimes a change of scenery or new emotions help to cope with this condition. Well, it's like the exact opposite of what you're doing now. Very cute kittens!

I have seen that sometimes sadness can be beaten with sadness too. It releases in a way if you lit it somewhere else
