Decided to spend a little time this morning making some GIF files of the upvote symbol on steemit. Didn't spend too much time, but it really got the the creative gears working and hear some of what I came up with.
First I worked on drawing the shape in three dimensions. In this first gift I didn't feel the insides of the arrows in with flat sides. Which kind of made for a cool effect. Let me know if you think? Is it spinning to fast?
Next I filled in the sides of the arrow in the middle and here's what I came up with.

This one's relatively simple but I thought I would share.
I really like those steemit pushes the creative juices. This one's kind of like the upvote waving at you!
I could do some really cool things with this idea, should I make a physical upvote symbol in the physical world?

Nice work. I think the slower transitions would be better. otherwise they will just be annoying. You don't want to distract from the content by having a button spinning manically. ;-)
Maybe if the animation was triggered on mouseover?
I think you have good points on how these Gif files can be distracting and if to fast annoying for sure. I like the idea of a mouse over. Thank You for your feed back
