New Coffee Luwak Package design

Finally my customer approved last corrections and this package will go live soon. There were few different additional coffee tastes they are planning to release.

Process

This one was not easy to finish because initially they've asked me to make the beast more realistic and less cartoonish while I wanted more simplicity and stylization. But anyway we have to come to conclusion where we both are satisfied so I could show my work in portfolio later and my client could use the image to sell that coffee.

Together we've decided to change animal posture and I started to work on it's more real look. Here is one of the work in progress screens from where it's all started.

Haha, look at this! I was trying to make him more real but made it look so scary that nobody would drink such a coffee. Actually for me it's hard to believe that anyone could drink such a coffee in any package because of it's origin. Do you know this animal Musang eats coffee beans and it's poops with that half digested beans becomes that drink called Kopi Luwak! Yuk!!!

But anyway I had to do my work and I really like to draw animals so I had to finish it. After some iterations I've offered the variant where the eyes was more cartoonish because real eyes still looked unattractive in my oppinion. Then added few strokes as the fur imitation and that's it. Done! They've just approved it today! Hurray!
