Thanks for sharing this! I really know very little about the process of creating animated art... I'm pretty much an old fossil and my last experience of ANY sort was creating animated gifs around 1998 or so. Pretty minimal!
To animate is one thing, to bring it to life is another.
That is a huge piece of truth, right there... certainly from my perspective as an observer. Some have the talent to actually make you "feel for" animated characters, and that is a true artform.

I totally agree with you, and this is something I'm still struggling with. My characters have yet to come to life.
