Hello dear community of Steemit - - - → ♥
Today I want to talk to you a little about the engraving and show you the prints that I made throughout my university career. Personally, this type of art is marvelous, it is very relaxing, it requires a lot of concentration and precision and the final result is perfect.

But you will ask: what is the printmaking?
It is an artistic discipline, consisting of the use of different printing techniques, and part of drawing an image on a rigid surface (called Matriz), also leaving a trace that will then be added ink and be transferred by pressure to another surface as paper or fabric, and thus obtain several reproductions of the stamp.
There are several techniques in printmarking, I will show you which I worked
Linography
It can be said that it is similar to the Xylography only that linoleum is used here (Shoe sole) as a matriz. The drawing is done with gouges, devastating or removing parts of the figure so that the parts waves will be blank and the areas in relief will be those that receive the application of the ink. Since linoleum is a soft material it does not present great difficulty like wood.

Xilography
It should be mentioned that this is the oldest printmarking technique, and the matriz or support that is used is wood, like linoleum, the parts waves will be blank and the areas in relief will be those that receive the application of the ink . (For the printing of the woodcut and the linoleum it will be enough to place the matriz covered in ink on a surface, proceed to place the paper and then soften with a wooden or plastic spatula all the support until the print is fully printed. )

Dry tip
This technique is totally different from the previous ones. It should be noted that this technique takes its name from the tool used, a very sharp fine tool (or any sharp object that can be used). It consists in scratching or scraping a sheet of metal or acetate, as well the line intensity that is desired will vary with greater or lesser pressure of the pricking object. This tool is worked to pulse, as if it were a pencil, in this technique any spider or line on the support will be reflected in the print. It is worth mentioning that for the printing of this technique the matriz or support must be passed with the wet paper where the printing will be done on a press so that all the details are perfect.

Colography
This is a relief printing technique that consists of incorporating textured elements by adhering them to the matriz before inking, and then varnishing so that at the moment of passing it through the press with the wet paper, none will come off.

I hope you liked my publication and my printmarking, this art is wonderful.
Do not forget about:
This is a Great Read. I love the way you technically explained the Art of Printmaking. I never knew the process of getting it done until I read through your write-up. I would love to get some of this done someday. I was expecting a funny read owing to the fact that you are Spanish, but you appear to be very good with English also.... lol
I also commend your ability to carry your reader's along by stating the relevant points they need to know about Art printmaking. By the way, I'm a Curie Curator, and I want you to know your post has been spotted for recommendation.
Next time, you could upload the English and Spanish Version of your post simultaneously, but anyways
Keep up the Good work.
