A Girl's Portrait: WIP from a Self-Taught Artist

in #art7 years ago

Another portrait for a productive day.

Hello everyone! Watch out for this another artwork of mine. Can't stop doing my thing as its my favorite thing to do for past time and for stress free.

For this portrait, I used this easy to find and basic art materials; mechanical pencil, thick paper and coloring pencil (I used Prisma coloring pencil)

To start, I firstly used mechanical pencil to draw my subject. Ordinary pencil will do.

I used grid method to act as my guide for every points and angle of my subject then used my Prisma coloring pencil for the coloring session.

The first thing I do is her face. Everyone has its own technique in drawing faces. For my portrait, I first worked on the eyes detail by detail then followed by brows and skintone (including the nose and whole face) using these tones; flesh pink, peach, brown ochre, teracotta and copper beach.

When the face is already done, I moved on with the hair and the clothe (used the mixed same color with the face' skin tone).

I really like how everything goes well. With the emotion, I really can see it on the eyes and its gesture.

That's it! Thank you for viewing everyone! See you on my next art posts.
