[Art + Photography] Transition Iteration
Transitions, transformations, metamorphoses have been the subject matter of a plethora of art pieces, and is the central element of this Photography into Art series in general as well. I chose a simple photograph that exemplifies this as its subject matter in a subtle way, and then applied some rendering transformations on it and got a few stunning results, if I may say so myself, ergo an iteration of transitions.
Without further preamble here is the Transition Iteration I liked the most because although it deeply modifies the original photograph, which is the second picture below, it still managed to highlight the principal elements of the composition in an intricate pattern of multicolored hues. Watch the whole set of iterations and leave me your impressions in the comment section.
Tapestry like Transition Iteration
That one almost looks like a cool tapestry design, doesn't it?
The one below is the original photograph for this series of Transitions, can you see why? What transformation is taking place here?

That picture were taken with an Olympus SH-25MR camera, and shot at f/4.1 and 1/60th sec. ISO 80 setting. You'd be surprised to know how small that subject is, the fluff ball is probably no more than 1 cm. in diameter, and the camera had to be set to super macro to be able to focus really close up.
The next Transition Iteration takes us into an image made of brightly colorful strands that make the main elements of the composition stand out nevertheless.
Colorful Strands Transition Iteration
A pastel explosion of colors in some underwater world seems to be the subject matter of the following transition, beautifully contrasting.
Pastel Explosion Transition Iteration
Following is a painting like transition, somewhat like a Picasso style rendering was the end result, though not as minimalist as the grand master.

This last one is a minimalist impressionist watercolor take of the original Transitions Iteration photograph.

Photographic Transitions, Transformations, Metamorphoses
***“Recently, photography has become almost as widely practiced an amusement as sex and dancing – which means that, like every mass art form, photography is not practiced by most people as art. It is mainly a social rite, a defense against anxiety, and a tool of power.” ***

An extreme photographic manipulation leads to an image that becomes a metaphoric story of profound transformation in a single image. Taylor James creative studio is a conceptual art firm that is dedicated to the creation of intelligent advertising and they have authored a series of CGI manipulated pictures where we can see a kind of disturbingly realistic image of a beautiful brunette model seemingly bursting out of her "old" skin and shedding it like if she were a snake.

Below is a particularly disturbing closeup of the image above where we can see the amazing details of the shed old self that provide a real sense of reality to the idea that the woman actually shed her old carapace just like a reptile.

In another image from this "Human Metamorphosis" series of photographs, a couple of hands seem to be fighting to choke a woman by her neck. An internal struggle seems to be the metaphor here, a repression of sorts having both internal and external components. The details achieved in this digital manipulation are quite impressive.

In yet another image of this sequence there is a hand seemingly being held from inside its own skin by another hand, maybe in representation of the inner love she should be cultivating, or maybe a metaphor for the lost love she still deeply craves and needs.

These are cool and the latter ones are disturbing. Did you do the top ones? If so how about a tutorial?
Thanks, @thecryptofiend. Yes, the original photograph and the other transformations are all mine and only posted here on steemit, the metamorphosis ones (more disturbing hehe) are from the Taylor James creative agency I mention on the post. A tutorial would be somewhat complicated due to the different programs I use and also my process is not always the same, I play a lot with different things, filters, effects, just to see what is more visually pleasing, the ones I post are only those I feel are worth it. I'd have to put some work into making a tut, I'll look into that.
