Hi Steemers
Today I would like to share some drawings from around Adelaide, Australia. I hope these hint at the wonderful natural beauty that surrounds our humble city and makes Adelaide a unique place to call home.
Autumn on Old Norton Summit Road, 2016
River Red Gums at Third Creek, The Gums, 2014
This sketch was very much inspired by the work Hans Heysen.
Looking North at Black Hill Conservation Park, 2016
This sketch was completed in a combination of pen and pencil and aims to express the wild side of the lower foothills of the Mount Lofty Ranges.
On a side note I have been thinking of developing a page solely dedicated to the Arts in Adelaide, one that would shine a light on the city's strong cultural scene whilst serving to support and promote steemit as an artistic/creative platform on a grass roots level. If you have any ideas please feel free to share them.
Thanks you for your support
Until next time, keep on steeming

Hey, I didn't know you're Adelaide based. Not sure if you are aware, but @mattclarke is doing monthly meet-ups with steemians, if you're interested. The next one is this Thursday.
Hey @choogirl yes I am aware and greatly looking forward to it! But thanks for the heads up ; )
I like your post, I've spent time in Adelaide and think your idea is good!
Hey @vladivostok yes I think there is a perception of Adelaide as being a bit "boring" in comparison with the eastern cities, but I think we have a lot to offer from a cultural point of view.
Let's fix that then shall we?
Yes! I feel we have a great opportunity to change such perceptions and in so doing build a strong grass roots arts/creative community.
I agree with you, although I was very young I enjoyed my time there
I think your idea of a grass roots art setup is a great!
Really well done...
Thank you
