Making miniatures with rubber foam is mostly done by craftsmen, because the nature of rubber foam is that it is easy to form and easy to find.
in the process of making this miniature sculpture, a sketch is needed before forming it into a sketch form so that it is easy to paste during manufacture.
The materials needed are:
- Rubber foam
(rubber foam can be found in furniture and building material stores) - Glue with strong adhesion
- Paint Color
- Scissors
- Knife
The first step is the formation of the body, usually the body is made of rubber foam rolls. This is the initial foundation, before we make body shape carvings.
The next step is to form the body, the shape of this body part is done by gluing the sketch pieces on the body foundation. and make as if carving embossed.
In the process of making this I forgot to take the steps one by one because some things had to be quickly shaped, so as not to make the glue dry, so I continued to make the whole body formed.
The coloring is also in such a way, it is painted quickly so that the paint that we have processed does not dry out, because the paint used is thinner, if left for a long time the quality of the paint will be bad, so I finished all the process.
This is a finishing process where we only need to make a container to stand from this miniature statue. I usually use a lid from a jar that has been coated with rubber foam and colored.
To make the miniature stand strong is to apply glue on the foot tray to the container part.
Maybe that's the only explanation about an original work of art from me.
I'm not very crafty, and this was likely with a work day off, so I took the time to make a craft I'd been thinking about for a long time.
