Yes...no matter what your ability with regard to art skills there is always practice to be done...drawing, painting, colour etc. Also...one's drawing skill is always ahead of one's painting skill.
Watercolour artist on You Tube...Kelly Hoernig...
She is an excellent teacher...showing viewers how to approach painting and discover their own art expression...if you will.
What is interesting that whether the subject or colours are something that interests you or not...there is almost always something you can apply in your own work from beginners to advanced.

Also the Japanese Watercolour artist who was so popular at Steemit...has quite a following at You Tube...

Had you heard of him?
Books by Shirley Trevena have assisted ..another Watercolour artist who encourages, educates, inspires.
If you visit Instagram...there is an artist @ gardenercook ..not here at Hive.....whose recent book... 'Color In and Out of the Garden' by Lorene Edwards Forkner is amazing.
Hope this assists....Wishing you the best in your art journey.
Kind Regards, Bleujay
