Thank you for your query. Let's see ...The name...'Tulip Cottage' originated from a picture in a magazine of a large pitcher of tulips in a cottage....thus the name..I put together for the idea. The colours were of such a nature that I knew I must explore the possibilities that presented themselves. So far three paintings have been completed....and more to come..I'm afraid. What I will name them ...idk.
Actually for Bleujay...paintings have many contributing factors,...it could be a picture ,hopefully a photograph of one's own, plus a ceramic of one's own, plus, plus, plus...you never know what is going to say....'Paint me!'..and then in your mind with the principles of art you work out a composition and all the rest.
Hope that assists...because now that I think of it...there could be a better name....hehe

NB I should add that the warm dark background colour also pointed to the Cottage feel....as I am looking at why did I call these paintings 'Tulip Cottage'...^__^
