Hello friends of STEEMIT!

In this publication, I will focus on describing the history of Reggae in a creative and striking way. The idea is also to make advertising posters, according to the research that you will know in a few minutes.

What is the REGGAE?

The answer to the following is a rhythm that developed in Jamaica, an island in the Caribbean, emerged as a combination of African-American sounds like rhythm & blues.

The term reggae comes from a derivation of raggamuffin that when abbreviated is known as ragga, this means ragweed (in Spanish). In this way it was used to identify a certain part of the low income society and also those who used RASTAS, it is worth noting that, the use of Rastas is linked to the Rastafarian movement, it is part of their religion, of their origin; that later expand ...

Reggae music is part of the Jamaican culture and Rastafarian music is part of the African Ethiopian culture.

The REGGAE in its songs speaks about poverty, politics and Rastafarianism that is the religious cult. As much as many say that both styles have nothing in common, I say that they do, because many of their messages relate their exodus to the promised land (Africa). From there I base myself to make the posters for the house of culture, Argentina province of Neuquén.

As I had already written, the Rastafarian movement originated in Africa. The biggest motive that augured this great movement is to reprimand the violence of whites towards blacks. A pastor named Marcos, who I lead for many years, used to give his sermons with prophetic messages, which he used to say: "A black king coming from the lineages of the king salamon will survive and free his fellows from the white domain"

Then a prince in the 30s was crowned emperor of Ethiopia and was called King of Kings (King of Kings) his name was Ras Tafari Makonnen, from that time many began to follow him because, they believed that the prophecy had been fulfilled. From there begins a new religion, known as Rastafari.

The Rastafari are like species of Christians but blacks, that is; They use many of the Judeo-Christian symbols, such as the Lion of Judah, Jah, Babylon, the Promised Land and many more. They even believe that Ganja (cannabis) is a "food" more than God gives them like wheat. SALMOS 104: 14.

The colors they use have an explanation:
Yellow: Wealth of the earth.
Green: Beauty and flora of Ethiopia, the promised land.
Red: Church triumphant united, demonstrates the sacrifices of the black sold as slaves.

The Rastas of the Rastafarians (the dreadlocks) comes from the word of God, Leviticus 21: 5. They grow their hair to the point of resembling the mane of the lion, like the lion of Juda (the biblical representation of Jesus)

Now an image that explains a little bit of everything that I described

To finish with today's post, I will explain briefly where the idea of the posters came from. Investigating and investigating, I came to the conclusion that behind the musical rhythm there is a message, something really encouraging for them, and I could not do the "blind eye", so; Bob Marley helped me complete the final design of the posters. Simply by studying its history I understood the messages that the reggea communicates.
For example, in the musical theme of BOB called IRON LION ZION. It is a clear example of analysis of what I have tried to explain from the beginning, the letter speaks of a people (the Rastafarians) subjected to slavery and who yearns to return to the land that God promised.
That's why I divided them into three posters

Look carefully

REGGEA 1.jpg

People (lion) taken to slavery

REGGEA 2.jpg

People released, break the iron bars (iron)

REGGEA 3.jpg

And they go back to the promised land (zion)
