BEASTLY TALES
THE PIRATE CODE
A new airline placed an ad in the Financial Times,
They wanted the best, for their dollars and dimes,
“Pilots required for our new Airbus,”
“Only the best need apply, we’re wanting no fuss.”
Well, what Somalis, living along the Somali coast,
What they, for information, do read the most,
Is that very same Financial Times,
So suitable for the wealthy, in tropical climes.
“Pirates required! That sounds just like us!”
“Pack your bags! We’ll fly their Airbus!”
And so, without further ado,
They headed off to America, a new career to pursue.
Of course, none of them got a pilot job.
They were not qualified, and each looked a slob.
But since they had come all the way to New York,
They needed a nice little earner, in lieu of work.
And so they hijacked a Hudson River ferry,
They tried to keep up-beat, even merry,
But those ferry passengers weren’t to be swayed.
No amount of cajouling made them less amazed.
How could such a strange thing be?
Somali pirates, so far from the Red Sea!
Hi-jacking a ship, or a ferry at least.
Such action, unheard of, should desist and cease!
Most ferry passengers had little or no cash,
The pirates took credit cards, saying we must dash!
They failed to note, they had no PIN
Oh, what a state they were in!
Nice one... So inspiring... @beastlybanter
