BEASTLY TALES

NOT MUCH CHANGE

Tamar the Terrible ruled the land of Must.
Everything he did to rule was frightfully unjust.
The Nobles controlled far-flung land in a manner badly brusque
The Yeomen collected taxes from morning until dusk.
The Countrymen and Peasants never stopped working hard.
They spent their days tilling earth over many a yard.
Except on those many occasions when Tamar went to war.
Then, conscripted for military duty, frequent battles they sadly saw.
Tamar the Terrible, mounted on his steed.
Directed the troops to battle, to serve his perpetual greed.
The arms of the Peasants were strong and rather long.
To wield their farming tools, so that enemy heads they could dong!

Tamar the Terrible ruled the land through fear.
Captured enemy suffered punishment severe.
Especially if Tamar’s troops hadn’t made too much gain.
This ensured captured enemy would suffer so much pain.
As his troops came to any village,
They would customarily rape, sack and pillage.
History does tend to repeat itself indeed.
Dictators and Dynasties, yes, that vicious breed,
Historically fade away, leave the Mortal Coil.
Liberating Peasant folk labouring the soil.
The passing of their avarice and greed is certainly not missed.
By the many thousands that they have truly pissed!
The fact that throughout history it’s happened so many a time.
Indicates that human leadership is a major crime!
