Hey guys, I know it's been quite a while since I've been on steemit! Been doing things irl and have taken a break from the digital world for a while! I think it's always good take breaks like that now and again.
A number of weeks ago a user (@mrblinddraw) contacted me through my Instagram who happened to also come across my steemit profile, and himself being a steemian, he asked me if I would be willing to participate in an art project he was starting up. He described it as a game of telephone, but with art. I thought it was a great idea and I agreed to take part. The general principle should be pretty straight forward if you know the game telephone: one person does a piece of art and the next person does a variation of the last art piece.
I've been trying to practice more digital art, and so this was made using photoshop:
@mrblinddraw does a great way of describing it, so I will copy his words here:
I can see @artistchristian's viewpoint about how he approached this piece and thing it's a really neat pairing against @natureofbeing's work. She took physical material and worked with it despite it's complications in the process of the physical world to create something beautiful and @artistchristian took that idea and flipped it on it's head to create something perceivably physical with a digital creation. This pairing represents exactly what this whole thing is about. Each one can tell a similar story, or in one's perspective can change the entire trajectory of it.
This was last weeks art piece done by @natureofbeing:

Welcome back! Your panther looks like stained glass, excellent texture you've achieved. Take care ☺
thanks! It was a very temporary visit back! For whatever reason I just haven't been in an "art" mood at all and so i've just kind of checked out for the time being, and I also haven't been doing much online in general!
Sometimes living IRL is better than online. Take care!
Interesting piece for me to use as inspiration :D The amount of texture you achieved in a digital image is really impressive!
I really like the eyes of a panther. Very nicely done.
thank you!
as my respect for steemit artist and star wars fans
I just mention you in my last post
What car does the jedi's drive?
Hi @artistchristian, just an off-topic message..
I have been playing a turn based game on Steemit with @daclawboyz and he is starting a new game. It has been pretty fun and we have fun players. He's starting a new game soon. If you're interested in that sort of thing, check his profile and posts out to get a sense of what it is and perhaps sign up for the next one! Should start in a day or two?
Hey hey hey brother! I can't believe I missed this! I distinctly remember checking on your profile every day before I went on a hiatus. By my calculation, you posted this exactly when I was about to go on my break. How have you been? I hope real life has been treating you well. Even though our project has been stalled, I'm looking forward to it when we both get back.
The texture of your rendition is amazing. If you hadn't specifically stated it, I would've never guessed that it was 100% digital! The stained glass effect was well made, and I feel like it really elevated the piece.
