today we went to Elvaston Castle near Derby and as we walked around the grounds there are a number of old tree trunks that have been carved such as the castle tower above.
Further along was a sleeping wizard laying in his bed.
Also there was this really cool chair with animals carved into the ends. I don't know who the sculptor was but he's pretty good with a chainsaw and a chisel.

We have a gew of these in the area I live in too (Durban, South Africa). If someone really has to chop an old and beautiful tree down, then turning it into art so that it can still be apprecitaed is a lovely sentiment. Much love, @sweetpea
