Well, what would you say if revealing the truth will hinder the success of an artist. Will he/she not reveal the truth?
Ideally, he would, if it doesn't personally harm him. And I think whatever possesses truth, will eventually be recognized and attain success, because the human species is always moving toward greater truth.
An artist is one who loves his work, not the work which will make him successful.
Yes, but what I'm saying is, loving your work, is like loving your child: you want it to be successful. I'm not being an absolutist, but I think that when an artist produces really great work, and realizes it, he feels something inside, like a great instinct or need, pushing him to make his work public and earn it recognition.
