Coiling with Clay!

in #art7 years ago

Hey guys!

So it's been a few days that I had a chance to connect and share with you guys as it is the end of semester for us :) I have been occupied in making models and sheets and what not! :P But today I wanted to share this small chair that I made with clay.

The mixture is made of red and black soil along with some proportion of water. The idea was to fuse Japanese and Greek elements for the entire model of which the chair is a small part. I will be sharing the pictures soon as soon as it is ready. The technique that I used here was coiling which is one of my favourites!

Yes, it was a little tough because of the low temperatures but a lot of fun too! It's actually very small in size, intact less than 3 inches. I will be colouring it accordingly and piece it together with the final structure. Hope you guys find it interesting :)
