Drawing Techniques The Three Point Missing Perspective

Hi good people.

Have a good day to you all,, welcomeback with me @agmalirsadi

The Three Point Missing Perspective

Perspective with 3 missing points is usually only used to describe something very broad, large, and tall and visually experience a very extreme distortion.
Usually this technique is used to draw outdoor and viewing angles from the air, although it can also be used for the viewing angle from the bottom or the eye angle of the cat. In order not to experience excessive distortion, we recommend that the missing point be placed far beyond the image area.

Basically, the techniques and stages of drawing the perspective of 3 missing points are almost identical to drawing techniques with 1 and 2 point perspectives missing. Horizon lines do not always have to be placed horizontally but can also be diagonal to describe different impressions.

From the point of view, the perspective with 3 missing points is divided into 2 kinds, ie the bird's eye view or the sighting from above and the point of view of the cat's eye.

Step-by-Step Drawing Techniques The Three Point Missing Perspective

  1. Create two missing points on the left and right sides of the image area. Set the distance of these two missing points so that there is enough space to put the objects to be drawn.

  1. Next make a line connecting the two missing points earlier, this is the horizon line. Create one more missing point between the two missing points, below the horizon line

  2. Begin to draw an object by utilizing a meeting of auxiliary lines from each missing point

  1. and this is the end result from the perspective of 3 missing points

Keep in mind that images in perspective take much less time if you do it on paper instead of digital. This is especially true when you work on a three point perspective! The scope of this tutorial is that it explains the workflow, and helps you learn by doing. That being said however, I suggest that in the actual usage scenario you just keep this technique in mind, and rely on them just to build what is called "skipping box" (less detailed containment volume) which you add to the details as it comes naturally. With enough practice, you will only need a minimal amount of construction lines, and can still reach a persuasive perspective.
Good luck, and most importantly, have fun! Hope you enjoy reading this, and if you have any questions, feel free to write in the comments below!
