NATURAL ART IN THE SAND

in #art7 years ago

Hi all.

Good afternoon steemit beloved friend.

This beautiful art is not the man who drew it, but only a small animal that has a claw known as crab artists from Indonesia. This crab is also known for crabs of sand balls, because these crabs always form small balls of sand near the nest.

With a sand-colored body, the crab can easily be missed from view. What they can not overlook, however, are the detailed patterns they make in the sand in food hunting. The shape is similar to a small galaxy, made up of hundreds - even thousands - of small sandballs, depending on how much food they are looking for.

Interestingly, the pattern that formed as if a work of art made man. The sand balls crab eat a thin layer of organic particles in the sand grains. As the waves rise, the animals are pinched out of the hole and start sifting through the grains of sand, shoveling them with their claws pointing down and inserting food particles into their mouths.

After the sand is shoveled, they will make it into balls and throw it back. In this way, they avoid sorting the same sand. The crabs work in a twist from the entrance of the pit, digging the paths with sand balls picked on each side.

The crab will come out of the hole as soon as the waves recede. By looking at the sand ball pattern, you can also guess how long the water recedes. The more complicated the pattern, meaning the longer the wave has subsided.

Sandbird crabs are located all over the Indo-Pacific coast, where they are seen abundantly on sandy beaches in tropical and sub-tropical regions, including Indonesia.
