Gundam feature NG Gundam Altron 1/144

in #art7 years ago (edited)

Hey guys just wanted to share my story on how I got my NG (No Grade - I'll talk about this in a different post soon.) All assembled and prettied up! This Gundam is one of my favorites and really enjoyed assembling it, posing it, and doing a simple photo shoot of it! Without further ado here we go!

Let's start with this awesome box art! This kit is a bit old, being produced in the 1990's and it's pretty sweet!

So of course with all "Old Gundam kits"you will really have to do some hunting. For this one, I got it for 1,000 php which is basically $20. It's pretty expensive since the kit was originally just 400 php. Still its a gold one for me which makes it worth it.

I went ahead and started building this thing! Let's start with the unboxing of it.

Here it is finally opened!

Basically gundam kits come with runners, these hold the plastic pieces in place and prevent them from being damaged. They are usually grouped together and labelled with letters to make assembly easy. It also comes with a manual to teach you how to build the Gunpla - Gundam Plastic Model.

Here it is with the runners out of the plastic.

I can honestly say that this kit took me time to put together. It was a No Grade kit, this basically means that the colors of the plastic used for it was not accurate and you would really have to paint the kit. I'm still a noob in painting so I used permanent markers. Mostly sharpees. I do intend to get better as I go. Here is a sample of how I started painting this kit.

I do apologize that I didn't take photos of the entire process of putting it together. But I can honestly say that while I am still not satisfied with it's look. I am happy to have assembled one of my favorite gunpla. The NG 1/144 Altron Gundam! Here it is almost finished but still looking great!

It is iconic for having the extendable dragon arms.

Wow how long and how much too make this ?
(It's probably won't take too long right?)

hey there! It took me 2 days. 2 days cause It was my first time painting some of the parts and making sure they were dry. For the over all assembly it was about half a day since I was juggling work with it. If you do a straight build (this means no painting or panel lining) Should only take an hour or two.

Great post @arifulsms

Thank you! Will definitely be featuring more Gundams soon!
