I forgot the post last Monday until I was just in bed that night. After a week of feeling like a loser, I realized that I never had this kind of responsibility before. I can get up on-time for work, I can even do side jobs for people and be on-time and under budget. This is a different animal to me. There is no client or boss haranguing me in this. It's all on me. So, I decided I need a schedule. Leaving it up to the ol' noggin to remind me is obviously foolish. Hopefully I can keep better time in this one man band.

During the cold war the USSR used psychiatric hospitals to imprison political dissidents. In their findings, they demonstrated that diagnosing political reformists and aggitators as schizophrenic or multi personality disorder lead to a great silence of them and their follows than imprisoning them the classical way. The USSR showed that discrediting your opponents by falsely diagnosing them with severe psychological disorders and institutionlizing them had a greater effect than traditional methods.
First person cases are discussed with the individuals themselves that underwent this treatment and the fallout they suffered because of it.
This practice is still largely in use, not just in Russia, but all over the world as it is easier to silence certain individuals.
