DAILY WORD🔊
Genesis 4:4-5

4)And Abel also brought an offering—fat portions from some of the firstborn of his flock. The LORD looked with favor on Abel and his offering,(5) But on Cain and his offering he did not look with favor. So Cain was very angry, and his face was downcast.

We need to understand that there is a correct way to serve God, and just because something seems nice, doesn't mean it's Acceptable to God. Maybe you have heard some folks say things like,"well, God sees my heart; He ought to know I'm serving Him". For a while as a baby Christian you may get through with that, but the time will come whereby God will require you to do things the Right way. This was the position Cain found himself in, He and his brother offered sacrifices but his own was Rejected and that made him Angry.
God did not just decide to reject Cain's sacrifice,The Problem was the failure of Cain in applying the accurate knowledge in offering his own sacrifice. There was a particular kind of sacrifice that the Lord expected at that time. Cain brought what he felt like OFFERING, instead of what he was supposed to OFFER and that was the problem. Abel knew that the particular sacrifice they were required to offer at that point was supposed to be an Animal, not the fruit of the ground.Today, there are just so many people doing things the wrong way and expect God to UNDERSTAND, No no no, God is a God of principles , He doesn't deviate from His principles. You must Subscribe to His systems if you must work with Him to Profit. Don't just serve God friends, serve Him with understanding, there is what he requires or expects of us at some point, in order for us to receive our Reward for service.

PRAYER:: God please Grant me the Discernment and Grace to Serve You Effectively in Jesus Mighty name...
