Mar. 29, 23: Routine, PIMP Meeting, Quest, TV, and Games

[Not sure how I managed, guess stuff just actually takes time...had two hours to work on this post and, while I am about halfway done, now I'm looking at less than fifty minutes and a more or less nothingburger day to make another seven hundred plus words out of. 😱 Even worse, I still don't know what to teach for Calc II today...thinking I'm going to go off the rails and teach them a little about the banking system, but I do feel guilty about going "off topic."]

Got to sleep around nine thirty last night and was up a few times during the night. Around two or so I got up and moved out to the couch, but then made it all the way until nearly seven for a good nine and a half hours! 🥳 Can't say I was particularly motivated or productive today, but I made it through without crashing, so that's something.

Having a solid three hours for the morning routine was nice, except I actually only had two with the meeting...was more or less done at nine, though, so I was able to pay attention for most of it.

Otherwise, did the normal morning stuff...I really need to get caught up with Solairitas and adjust the voting percentages, but for some reason I have a mental block and I put it off and end up forgetting about it...honestly, taking care of that was my only actual goal for the whole day and I didn't get it done. 😠

I spent quite a bit of time messing around trying to get Metamask to connect to Forest Knight...it's pretty janky, but after clearing caches and all the data, I did get it to connect. I dont trust them at all though, actually, and I didnt feel comfortable just leaving the walletconnect session open.

Unfortunately, if you disconnect it goes all screwed again. It is early access, so I'm willing to cut them a little slack, but it's definitely a problem telling users to go digging through their phone settings (trying over and over) to get their shit to work.

I left it borked in the hope that I will know how to fix it when I actually have any NFTs to mess with, until then I'm not giving them access to my wallet if I can help it.

Other than that, though, just the usual curation, token shifting, emails, pings, Wombat games, and checking on the crypto markets.

Wow! Look at those greens! 🤑 Don't ask me what the catalyst was...maybe Michael Saylor announcing his buys, maybe Binance with their converting BUSD? I don't know, but green is good, especially when we're looking at a solid five percent!

Sadly (and embarrassingly) HIVE has gone up a whopping six percent...and still not even worth forty cents, awesome. I guess those whales are doing a good job at making sure Hive is nothing more than an unknown, little used blog site...got to start complaining about token comments now as well, always something someone else is doing that makes the chain "not thier vision." Life must be hard for them seeing "abuse" everywhere they look.

Of course, today we had our weekly PIMP meeting. Was another long one, but very informative and I'm tempted to jump into yet another pool (though I don't have the liquid right now). Otherwise, we decided to get some more ASTRA to stake for STELLARUM divvies. 🤑 More to throw into that pool! 😁

After we'd gone about two hours, I jumped out a bit early and got some lunch. I did do a little chores in there, got the garbage taken out (and out to the road) as well as the dishes taken care of, but that was basically the extent of my actual productivity.

I couldn't resist the urge and I spent the rest of the afternoon playing Drop Dead...even sadder than that, I couldn't find anyone else playing, so they were all just solo runs. I did have a couple good ones, but I still can't seem to get any farther than I did before...it's like the fifth or sixth round when the big dudes start coming; I either get overrun or run out of ammo or both. 🤬 Only once have I gotten all three fuel canisters, but I wasn't able to get back to the Cabin that one time, usually just one (or have the second but not make it all the way through the first one. 😢

I played some more Forest Knight working toward the Wombat NFT reward, but I have a feeling I'm starting to hit up against that "if you wanna go further you gotta' pay or else take ages" point. I don't know why it's got me so interested, though...I think the Polygon NFT integration into a mobile game is what has got me going about this.

When Wenche finished with work, she made us some curly fries and the leftover burgers we had from the other day. It wasn't too long after that I laid down to watch the TV and started to crash pretty hard.

I had like thirty-five hundred steps left for the day and I did a little shaking, but totally passed out. Luckily, I woke up around ten thirty, realized I still had steps left and paced laps to finish them out legitimately.

[Nearly fifteen hundred words and two minutes left...whew!]

Splinterlands:
Well, for once, my Splinterlands rental income broke its trend and went up a bit. Not much, mind you, thirty cents up to a dollar sixty, but more is better. I only had .75 HIVE liquid for the last two days (made me feel super uncomfortable) and I decided to swap the DEC out...bought some more STELLARUM for the PIMP pool but left a little buffer there for now.

I did my usual SPS interest claim and I paid up my prepay balance yesterday, so I'm good for now and just staked it all. I did notice that my GLX drop did improve by a couple decimal places as a result of all my SPS hoarding...not much, and ultimately likely not worth it, but I guess that was my goal?

While I did have a couple of crises in my dShitty today, they don't seem to have had any effect and I got forty-four SIM for the day (up one, I think, actually). My HIVE income went up another thousandth as well, but my balance is 131k, so it looks like that's the end of its increase. 😢

Went in on Rising Star a couple times today, I believe. Just pounded out some missions, but now my Ego is at one percent again I switched back to lessons. I did just break six hundred thousand Starbits, for whatever that's worth, less than half way left to get to millionaire.

HK:
Hooray for HashKings, insofar as it gives me an excuse to throw in like twenty extra words per day, which is about the best value I'm able to extract from this one. It's starting to get annoying enough that I've been strongly considering going into NFTMart and just dumping it all for whatever...maybe what I've gotten from giveaways will let me break even.

GLX:
Like I said, my GLX drop did rise for today, but only by a fraction, up to 32. While I could use the extra income right now, for whatever reason I staked it all...I really hope my future self is happy with my me right now.

WOO:
Well, crapola! Wasn't it just like a day or two ago we got screwed by the website being borked? Here we are again with all zeros everywhere. 🤬 I wouldn't mind it (it wouldn't be an issue) if it actually caught up properly, but they let it screw us out of income, all that time is just lost.

I've justified not getting upset about it by saying "well, we all got fucked equally" but that excuse has worn thin...seeing it more as not keeping their promise at this point; like once shame on me, twice shame on you kind of thing...eighteen times or whatever, yeah, seriously shame on you.
