Located in the wilderness of Idaho, Outpost House is a production of Seattle-based studio Olson Kundig.
This residence has been designed to serve as a place to live and work for an artist. In order to allow the building to withstand the extreme weather conditions of the desert, the architects created the house as a compact concrete structure. Small in size, this construction reduces its impact on the environment and reinforces the desire of its occupant to go out to enjoy nature. The principal architect Tom Kundig, said of his creation, what is "difficult from the outside but soft inside".
